Medieval Coins Group 2005 Web
Awards:
Every month in 2005, the members of the Medieval Coins Group will be selecting 2 recipients of the group's Web Excellence Award 2005. Sites will be chosen through a process of member nominations and a membership vote. The two sites receiving the highest number of votes will receive the award and become eligible for the coveted Web Site Of The Year 2005 Award. At the end of the year 3 sites among the monthly winners will be awarded the Gold, Silver and Bronze Web Site Of The Year 2005 Awards. This is our way to thank and acknowledge the efforts of collectors and institutions who have taken the time to share their collections and knowledge with the public and to advance the art and science of Numismatics. Since the group's focus is on Medieval Numismatics, nominations will be accepted for sites focused on hammered coinage struck between the fall of Rome and the beginning of milled coinage. Eligibility is open to all sites, including commercial sites, that add to the understanding and knowledge of Medieval numismatics. The group's nomination and vote process is the only method of consideration. Records of the process will be maintained in the group's archive. All inquires should be made to the group membership through the group's forum. Winning sites are asked to display the logo of the corresponding Web Excellence Award that they have won on their page. This qualifies the site for the consideration for the Annual Awards which will be awarded on December 31, 2005. |
